Georgian Bay Cruise

Georgian Bay has just been designated by the United Nations as a unique biosphere reserve. Located in Ontario, Canada, you can cruise its around 30,000 islands through the Island Queen that departs from Parry Sound, Ontario. There are 2 cruises every day in the summer for two or three hours. We took the three-hour wilderness cruise to have a good view of the vast unique biosphere that is Georgian Bay and enjoyed it so much.

The Bridge of the River Kwai


Spanning the Kwae Yai River, this iconic railway was built by Allied prisoners of war during World War II. Started in 1942, this 415 kilometers long bridge from Rachaburi to Myanmar claimed over 100,000 prisoners dying during its construction. A Commonwealth Graves Commission maintained cemetery close to the bridge now honors the bravery and sacrifice of these prisoners. It is worth a visit when your are in Thailand. It is located in Kanchanaburi Province of Thailand, about two and a half hours ride from Bangkok.
